Series 2: June 2010 - how to moderate in Elluminate

Session 1: June 7 at 7 pm GMT +10

Ten Minute Tasters

Start with this one hour session for some tips and techniques in taming your meetings; transforming your teaching; polishing your presentations and managing your moderation.. You'll be inspired by a series of 'ten minute tasters' on each of these topics in this FREE event.

Masterclasses: This session will be followed up by 3 masterclasses that will step you through the basics, advanced and blended use of Elluminate Live for your blended delivery of courses.

Session 2: June 14 at 7 pm GMT +10

Basics: Nuts and bolts

If you are new to Elluminate Live, then this is the session to begin with. You'll learn how to: be a powerful participant in Elluminate workshops and gain an overview of all the tools that Elluminate offers for your interaction: e.g. whiteboard, text chat, voice chat, web touring, notes and polling. You will also learn how to prepare a presentation for delivery in Elluminate and how to gain access to pre-recorded Elluminate sessions as re-usable learning objects.

Session 3: June 21 at 7 pm GMT +10

Advanced: Engaging your audience

If you have already attended a few Elluminate sessions and now feel ready to start planning how to present your own workshops etc in Elluminate, then this is the session for you. You'll learn how to make the best use of advanced features such as: uploading PowerPoint presentations and other media; navigating through your slides and using the whiteboard tools effectively; sharing applications from your own desktop; learning strategies of engagement in the Elluminate environment and tapping into the Elluminati network.

Session 4: June 28 at 7 pm GMT +10

Blended: Embedding Elluminate Models

If you are already skilled at moderating in Elluminate Live and are looking for tips on how to blend the use of Elluminate sessions into your course delivery; then this is the session for you. You'll learn how to: plan the process of blending virtual classrooms with your Blackboard or Moodle learning management systems; structure and deliver Elluminate training to others in your
organisation; plan for, schedule and moderate small and large group meetings of teachers; and how to become a member of The Australia Series - a LearnCentral/Elluminate initiative.
